The local inhabitants were unaware of its existence before I showed them the screen print.

There is little-to-no doubt that this is a man-made feature.
How can I be so sure?
Because a pre-Colombian mound-building culture inhabited this river valley.
Judging by some of the artifacts which locals have unearthed, the most likely origins are Olmec.
Here is a video in front of the main pyramid mound, which I decided to name the Templo Mayor:
Unfortunately, the base of this mound has begun to be destroyed, as the owner is slowly selling it to the nearby cement manufacturer.
And this next video is of the Altar of Sacrifice, as well as a few of the lesser mounds, located approximately 250m south-east from the Templo Mayor:
The locals have little interest in preserving this history, unless it would make them a profit.
In paraphrasing their attitude as it relates to the preservation of this patrimony:
Fanciful past is nice, but folks have to eat in the present.
